Australia's Heartland with Tony Abbot ep. 6
This week former Prime Minister and IPA Distinguished Fellow Tony Abbott speaks out about getting dobbed on for not wearing a mask. Tony also says that there is absolutely no health justification for wearing a mask outdoors, and gives his opinion on if civil disobedience is the right thing to do when laws are so bad, unjust, and arbitrary.
Tony also discusses what the departure of Joel Fitzgibbon from the working-class seat of Hunter means for the future of representation of mainstream Australians, and why Kristina Keneally being parachuted from the affluent northern Sydney beaches to the western suburbs of Sydney makes a "mockery" of Labor party democracy.

Australia‘s Heartland with Tony Abbott: Australia‘s quest for meaning
Wednesday Sep 08, 2021
Wednesday Sep 08, 2021
Tony Abbott opened up about his thoughts on the role of religion in public life, and what his three-years in training to be a priest taught him about life. Tony told me that there is a crisis of meaning in Australia today, particularly amongst the young, which is revealed through their belief in “The Science”, climate cults, and social justice movements. Tony also provided a very strategic assessment of how Big Tech is asserting its influence over our lives, and argues that the Big Tech companies should be regulated as publishers rather than platforms.

In government but out of power
Wednesday Aug 25, 2021
Wednesday Aug 25, 2021
This week Tony Abbott provided an enthralling strategic overview of the challenges which conservatives and liberals face in exerting influence over the direction of Australia. Tony reflected on his time as a Minister for Employment Services, Minister for Health, and Prime Minister and observed how conservatives are often in government, but seldom in power.
Tony and I also discussed the influence that the public service and bureaucrats have over ministers and public policy, and the impact that lockdowns have had on small business.
And, as always, Tony and I took your questions in the “Tell Tony Abbott” segment, this week on the influence of “woke capital” – and what we can do about it – and why Australia should remove the ban on nuclear power.
Remember, you can leave your questions for Tony at the Australian Heartland Hotline on 03 9946 4307.

Wednesday Aug 11, 2021
Wednesday Aug 11, 2021
In this episode of Australia’s Heartland with Tony Abbott, Tony and I discuss the light at the end of the tunnel of the lockdowns and COVID restrictions; why the rise of experts and unelected bureaucrats is undemocratic; and Tony takes your questions about why so many Australians have appeared comfortable in ceding their freedoms in the name of safety and what Tony’s favourite moments from the Olympics were.
